Homemade Focaccia
A classic Italian flatbread, perfect for dipping in olive oil or sauces. This homemade focaccia recipe yields a crispy crust and a soft interior, infused with the flavors of rosemary and coarse salt.
Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water 240g
- 2 tsp active dry yeast 10g
- 3 tbsp olive oil 45g
- 1 tsp salt 5g
- 3 cups all-purpose flour 375g
- ½ tsp coarse salt 2g
- 2 tbsp fresh rosemary leaves 10g
Steps

Step 1
In a large bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.

Add olive oil, salt, and all-purpose flour to the bowl. Mix until combined.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Punch down the dough and shape into a rectangle.

Dimple the dough with your fingers, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with coarse salt and rosemary.
